Who we are:

In 1997, from the many years of Engineer Gianpaolo Marconi’s experience in the field of diffraction measurement of residual stress, 2 Effe Engineering was founded. The company is focussed on Research, Experimentation and technological Innovation.
It began analysing materials with a staff of just two and grew rapidly over the years to its current staff of twenty technicians and new applications in surface treatments. The combination of research and production has created a useful synergy and enabled the company to reach a position of excellence within the sector. Currently, over the classic metallurgic instrumentation, the labs are fitted with some of the most advanced equipments available anywhere in the world: two scanning electron microscopes, four X-Ray diffractometers and instruments for measuring “Barkhausen noise”. With these instruments it is possible to make failure analysis, non destructive testing of residual tension and austenite and measurement of grinding burns.
In the new plant of Soiano Del Lago, which occupies about 10.000 m², of which 2.600 covered, we carry out shot peening with robots using six axes and plants of various sizes and with a number of different features. Recently, a polishing method has been developed with diamond pastes for very low roughness. These processes increase strength and anti-corrosion features creating compression tensions and improving the finish in terms of both function and aesthetics. From September 2004, a new metallization department is active, using above all HVOF technology, one of the most modern and efficient on the market at the moment.
In 2003, as a natural result of the company’s quality policy, 2 Effe Engineering was awarded UNI EN ISO 9001-2000 certification. In October 2005 the company reached its aim of building and integrating new instruments for process control that have allowed it to gain the Certification of the automotive sector ISO TS 16949-2002.
